Inside the MINI

DSC_0012.jpg

What to do when, despite the weather being nice and clear, the roads are coated with salt? Park the MINI in the garage and take pictures, of course!

This one is nice.

Camera set up?
Lighting?
EXIF stuff, etc.

Thanks! I had the camera (Nikon D100 and 20 mm f/2.8 lens) outside the door on a tripod, set the self-timer, got in the back seat, reached out and hit the shutter button, and "light painted" with a Mini (appropriate!) Maglite flashlight. No ambient light (garage lights and interior lights off), exposure was 20 seconds at f/6.3, ISO 500, incandescent white balance. My first real try at light painting and I thought it wasn't too bad. :)

Can't wait to see more like these.
I would've never thought it was light painted. I erroneously assumed the light "streak" on the dash was a flourescent light tube found in so many garages nowadays.

You should post it on the photo forum on NAM.
