Thanks! I had the camera (Nikon D100 and 20 mm f/2.8 lens) outside the door on a tripod, set the self-timer, got in the back seat, reached out and hit the shutter button, and "light painted" with a Mini (appropriate!) Maglite flashlight. No ambient light (garage lights and interior lights off), exposure was 20 seconds at f/6.3, ISO 500, incandescent white balance. My first real try at light painting and I thought it wasn't too bad. :)
Can't wait to see more like these.
I would've never thought it was light painted. I erroneously assumed the light "streak" on the dash was a flourescent light tube found in so many garages nowadays.
You should post it on the photo forum on NAM.
